According to Sky Sport in Germany, Bayern Munich have reportedly agreed personal terms with Xavi Simons' representatives and are hopeful of landing the Netherlands international this summer.
The former Bundesliga champions will now negotiate terms with Paris Saint-Germain as the player still has a contract with them until 2027.
Liverpool and AC Milan-linked Rabiot speaks about his future
French midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who is currently a free agent after his Juventus contract expires on June 30, has opened up about his future amid links with Liverpool and AC Milan.

Almada set to complete MLS-record transfer
According to The Athletic, Thiago Almada is on the verge of finalising a record transfer from Atlanta United to Brazilian top-division side Botafogo this summer.
The MLS side have reportedly agreed to sell their star attacker for a league record $21 million (£16m) plus add-ons which could further increase the valuation of the deal to $30m (£23m).
Southampton sign Taylor from Burnley
Newly promoted Premier League side Southampton, on Monday, confirmed the signing of left-back Charlie Taylor from Burnley on a two-year deal.
After signing for the Saints, Talor told the club's official website, "I’m really excited. It just feels like the right fit. Everyone I spoke to about the club have only got great words to say. So excited and can’t wait to get started. We spoke briefly on the phone to begin with and straight away [Russell Martin] really impressed me.
"The way he talks about football is the way I like to see it too. Him being the manager was a massive pulling point. I feel as though it was too good an opportunity to turn down. Ever since I’ve come down here I’ve just had a good feel, surrounded by good people. It’s a huge club, back in the Premier League now. It’ll be a good experience for me."
Aston Villa sign Ross Barkley from Luton Town
Aston Villa, on Monday, announced the signing of former Everton and Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley from Luton Town.
The official statement from the club read, "Aston Villa is delighted to announce the signing of Ross Barkley from Luton Town. Barkley returns to Villa Park on a permanent basis having enjoyed a loan spell in claret and blue during the 2020/21 season. He started his career at Everton, coming through the ranks at Goodison Park before being snapped up by Chelsea in 2018. With 33 England caps to his name, the midfielder has also represented OGC Nice in France. Welcome, Ross!"
Man Utd learn about De Ligt's price
According to Sky Sports Germany, Bayern Munich are seeking a guaranteed €50 million (£42m/$54m) for Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt, amid interest from Manchester United.
The player's agent Rafaela Pimenta is already described as "working on a top solution" and Bayern are claimed to be in contact with United.

Manchester United have reportedly tabled a contract offer for Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt as they target a summer move for the Dutchman.
As per Dutch publication De Telegraaf, Manchester United's top brass are on the same boat as Ten Hag and have tabled an opening contract proposal for De Ligt in view of a summer move for the Dutchman. As per the report, De Ligt will be offered a five-year deal upon signing with the Red Devils with other details yet to be known. However, Sir Jim Ratcliffe's side will first have to deal with Bayern Munich over a transfer fee for the 24-year-old who has a valid contract with Der Rekordmeister until 2027.
