Kieran Trippier's wife posts cryptic message hours after leaked England camp concerns

Kieran Trippier's wife has set tongues wagging with a cryptic Instagram story.

Despite Gareth Southgate and the FA's desire to keep personal matters private until after Euro 2024, it appears there might be potential off-field troubles amidst all. Trippier, 33, who started at left-back in England's first three Euros games, may come under this spotlight.

His wife, Charlotte, shared a rather ambiguous post on Instagram that read: "Sooner or later you get over the s*** you swore you'd never get over and it's the best feeling in the world."

She continued the string of strange posts with the further line: "The sun is shining. Happy Monday angels."

Whilst it remains unclear who this message may target, speculation arose as fans noted her list of followed accounts no longer featured Trippier (at the time of reporting). This has led some social media users to suggest she unfollowed him, reports the Mirror.

However, the Newcastle star continues to follow her on the platform.

Senior officials within the England setup have been keen to prevent any such issues from seeping into the media and causing unnecessary diversions.

An insider revealed to the Daily Mail: "Gareth Southgate and the FA will be furious that their approach of trying to keep personal news about the players from appearing in the media during the Euros has seemingly failed."

A second source spilled the beans: "All the close relatives of the England players were strictly told that news about their personal lives had to be kept out of the media because it could affect team morale and performance.

"Some people have gone out of their way to get media attention during the Euros. Southgate will be furious because they've not been able to keep down some of this noise, which is bound to affect some of the players."

Tucked away from prying eyes, the swanky resort where the England squad are holed up offers the lads top-notch seclusion.

Boss Gareth Southgate has tried to maintain a bit of distance between the players and their other halves, though he did let them pop over for a quick 24-hour visit last Friday.

Trippier has been playing on the left side of a back four, covering for Manchester United man Luke Shaw, who's still nursing an injury he rocked up with at the start of the tournament.

This means Trippier might just be the main man in that spot for the whole shebang of the Euros.
