The couple began dating in 2022 before getting engaged last year.

This was despite remaining distant from each other due to their respective career commitments, with Karius serving as back-up goalkeeper at Newcastle and Diletta DAZN presenter in Italy.

In March, Diletta begged Karius to quit Newcastle because there are "no direct flights to Milan or Paris".

But that has not stopped them from growing ever more smitten with each other before finally marrying each other at a stunning wedding.

The ceremony took place off the coast of Sicily at the five-star Therasia Resort, with 160 guests said to be present for the occasion.

Karius was seen wearing a white tuxedo and black bow tie and trousers combo while Diletta walked down the aisle in a beautiful white dress.

Dileeta, 32, was given away by her father to the tune of John Legend's All of Me.

They exchanged vows in front of the Tyrrhenian Sea alongside their daughter Aria, who turns one in August.

Diletta captioned the Instagram post: "ALL I EVER WANTED ," and what a way it was for the goalkeeper to celebrate his 31st birthday.

As the joyous day went into the night, Karius switched to a green suit as they cut a huge cake before sharing a kiss in front of a fireworks display.

Karius will become a free agent when his Newcastle contract expires at the end of the month.

And she has pleaded with him to make his next club one that is closer to home.

She told Tuttosport: “Loris has people at his side who work for him.

“I live in Milan, so let's say being close to Milan would be ideal for us. I always tell him, players who come to Serie A then fall in love with Italy and often stay there forever. I think that could happen to him too.

“[He should join] Monza or any other team in Italy. I would be happy if he came to Italy to play near his family.

“Newcastle is very inconvenient because there are no direct flights. Neither about Paris nor about Amsterdam.”
