Lyndon Dykes is loved-up with his stunning wife Victoria
Lyndon Dykes won't be in Germany this summer, but he'll sure have the support of his stunning wife Victoria.
Dykes, 28, was injured during training ahead of the festival of football - ruling him out for the summer. He told BBC Radio Scotland's Sportsound that "it wasn't a crazy one but just annoying enough to miss the tournament".
"It's been really tough for me and I tried my best to make it, but I went to see the Scotland medical team and they ruled me out and that was that"
The footie ace, who turns out for QPR, made the leap to the Championship after netting 11 times in 28 matches for Livingston in the Scottish Premiership back in 2020.
The 28-year-old goal machine started his romance with Victoria, 38, following her split from Jim Thomson, who was Dykes' coach during his stint at Queen of the South from 2016 to 2019.
Lyndon Dykes won't be playing a part in Germany
The lovebirds, who welcomed a child into the world in 2018, are still going strong. Speaking about the pair, a source told the Scottish Sun that news of their relationship was a hot topic: "Everyone was talking about Lyndon getting together with Victoria after Jim's connection with the club.
"It's a strange one and there had been lots of rumours. There's obviously a big age difference, but they've had the baby and they seem happy."
Despite sounding like a true-blue Aussie, Dykes has his roots firmly planted in Scotland, having been raised by Scottish parents on Australia's Gold Coast before he jetted off to the UK to kickstart his football career.
Lyndon Dykes and Victoria met when he played in Scotland
Speaking to FourFourTwo, Dykes reminisced about his sporty upbringing down under: "I grew up in Australia, and everyone knows football isn't as big there. My family is quite athletic, so I'd play anything, but my main sport as a kid was rugby league.
"I played it alongside football for a while, then got to the age where I had to choose. In my mind, I actually went with rugby league. But then I moved to the Gold Coast with my mum, where my uncle lives.
"One day he signed me up without me really having a word in it, and that was it I met my friends and stuck with it. I was a bit of a latecomer, but just tried to get stuck in there.."
