A forgotten Premier League star will have to consoled by his jaw-dropping WAG after being released.
Cedric Soares was among 19 players to be cut by Arsenal on Monday morning as the Gunners trimmed their squad. Soares, 32, arrived in north London from Southampton back in 2020 - and he has since played 64 times for the club.
However, he's found game time difficult in recent months - and he's only featured six times this season. Soares is now on the lookout for a new club, and will have the full support of his stunning WAG, Portuguese Instagram star and fashionista Filipa Brandao.
The couple met in 2015, were engaged two years later and then tied the knot in 2019. Their first daughter Siena arrived the following year.
It was quite the period in Soares' life - who was also crowned as a European champion as part of a Portuguese side who stunned the French in Paris in 2016.
Filipa, like Soares, is Portuguese and she's often snapped donning their national team jersey as she supports her beau. However, Soares' last international appearance came in a World Cup qualifier against Serbia in 2020.
The stunner also loves to share fashion advice on her social media - but there's one theme on her Instagram page.
Family is the most important thing in Filipa's life, and she shared a snap of her family on social media with the caption: "I'm not lucky, I'm blessed. My Family is the most precious thing I have in my life."
Mohamed Elneny and Arthur Okonkwo, who impressed on loan at Wrexham, were the other notable names to be shown the door by Arsenal.
Okonkwo said of Arsenal: "It's been an incredible journey, from joining at the age of eight, I'm now 22 and I've been there for 15 years which has been brilliant because I've worked with amazing people, from the academy to the first-team.
‌"It's a bittersweet moment because I have to start a new chapter as I've had so many great years at Arsenal but, in the last two years, I need to keep playing and carry on my journey. I'm still really ambitious to play at international level."
