BORUSSIA DORTMUND will make a decision next week over whether to make a move for Mason Greenwood.
The German club, preparing for Saturday's Champions League final against Real Madrid, are monitoring his situation at Manchester United.
Borussia Dortmund are monitoring Mason Greenwood
Greenwood, 22, spent this season on loan at Getafe - where he scored eight goals in 33 LaLiga matches - but is expected to return to Old Trafford this summer.
Juventus and Atletico Madrid have also been watching Greenwood, who has a year left on his contract, but now Dortmund - who took winger Jadon Sancho on loan from United in January - could be a possible destination.
Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl, speaking at the club's Champions League media day, said: "I don't want to talk about any rumours now at the moment because it makes no sense.
"Let's play that final on Saturday.
"Of course we do have our plans for the next season and of course we discuss many scenarios, but nothing for today.
"Let's focus, let's anticipate that match on Saturday and then we'll see how we move on."
Quizzed if Greenwood is a player that Dortmund admire, Kehl said, "I don't want to talk about that now."
Greenwood has not played for United since appearing in a 1-0 Premier League win against West Ham at Old Trafford in January 2022.
A week later, he was arrested on suspicion of rape and assault, with Greater Manchester Police confirming the existence of "social media images and videos posted by a woman reporting incidents of physical violence."
In February 2023, all charges were dropped due to the withdrawal of key witnesses.
Greenwood impressed at Getafe in Madrid and won their player-of-the-year-award.
Although they want to keep him on loan, United would prefer a transfer fee for the player.
But if he does leave on loan again, United will trigger a one-year extension on Greenwood's contract.
