Shakira provides the soundtrack for the 2024 Copa America: 'Punteria', the new official song

The tournament that will be inaugurated this June 20 in the U.S. already has a song and it's by Shakira.

Once again, Colombian music superstar Shakira will once again provide the soundtrack to soccer, as she did in the 2006 World Cup in Germany and 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

It's the turn of the 2024 Copa America for which she adapted a song from her most recent repertoire: ' Puntería', included in her most recent album "Las mujeres ya no lloran" and performed as a duet with Cardi B.

And it was this song that was chosen at the end, for the simple reason that in soccer everything is aim, in a pass, in a shot, in a save, facing the goal, precision plays a crucial role. So Shakira returns to putting her work at the service of the most popular sport in the world.

From the famous 'Waka-Waka' to 'Puntería'.

In almost a month, from June 20 to July 14, every soccer fan will be singing 'Puntería'. This was announced Tuesday afternoon in New York City by the Colombian artist herself, accompanied by the president of Univision Networks Group, Ignacio Meyer.

Along with the announcement of the song and its adaptation to be the image and song of the official broadcaster of the tournament, a video was released showing some images of the voice of the Colombian singer, who continues... and will continue to enchant the world of the ball.

No further details were given, nor was an official presentation made, except for the words of both during the event in the city of skyscrapers.
