Crystal Palace bizarrely hinted in a now-deleted tweet that Michael Olise will be making his last appearance for the club over the weekend. The playmaker has been heavily linked with a move away from Selhurst Park this summer, with Manchester United and Chelsea among his suitors.

Michael Olise has impressed at Palace this season

Olise has been in sensational form for Palace since his return from injury, as shown by how his omission from France’s squad for the Euros raised eyebrows earlier this week.

The winger has scored 10 goals and registered five assists in 18 Premier League appearances so far this season, with the arrival of Oliver Glasner sparking the playmaker into life and bringing the very best out of the 22-year-old, as well as the likes of Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta.

Palace are expected to be the subject of immense transfer interest this summer as a result, with Marc Guehi and Adam Wharton already the subject of enquiries. Olise is also expected to be on the move at the end of the season, and the Eagles may have accidentally hinted that a sale is on the cards.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, ahead of their side’s clash with Aston Villa, the official Palace account posted a picture of Olise with the caption: “The last dance”.

The post was swiftly deleted, leaving many Palace supporters questioning whether the sale of their No. 7 was firmly on the cards or if it was simply accidental that it was implied. The forward will be keen to bow out of this season with a victory, which could see the Eagles move into the top 10 if results elsewhere go their way.

Another stellar performance from Olise will certainly ensure that he is the name on the lips of top clubs heading into the summer transfer window, and several sides will be keen to learn more about his release clause sooner rather than later.

The versatile forward opted to snub interest from Chelsea last summer to pen a new and improved contract with Palace, though a release clause was negotiated into the contract to ensure that his exit would be facilitated if a top club comes calling and are willing to table a significant offer for his services.
