Couto garnering interest from Leverkusen and Juventus
Bayer Leverkusen and Juventus are at the forefront of the competition to secure the signature of Manchester City defender Yan Couto during the upcoming summer transfer window, according to ESPN.
Couto, currently on loan at Girona, has made a significant impact this season, leading to his first call-up to the Brazil national team. Despite being highly regarded at City, there's an acknowledgement within the club that Couto would benefit more from regular first-team football elsewhere, rather than being on the periphery of Pep Guardiola's squad at the Etihad Stadium.
Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen have expressed their interest in Couto, particularly as they assess potential replacements for Jeremie Frimpong, who is reportedly a target for Manchester United. Additionally, Serie A giants Juventus have made inquiries about Couto's availability, highlighting the widespread interest in the talented 21-year-old defender.
