Bayern Munich made contact again with coaching candidate Julen Lopetegui on Monday in a bid to find someone, anyone, to replace Thomas Tuchel at season’s end.

The former Real Madrid coach was said to have dismissed the Bayern interest already, but that did not stop another inquiry. However, Lopetegui is now set to become the next coach of Premier League side West Ham, as captured by The Athletic’s David Ornstein (via @iMiaSanMia):

Bayern inquired again today if Lopetegui is available - as he was a concrete option. But: Lopetegui declined for this moment because he’s currently the top candidate at West Ham and crucial details are already being negotiated.
