Jurgen Klopp back to Borussia Dortmund?! Outgoing Liverpool boss tipped for sensational return to BVB in role that would fit his post-Anfield plan

Jurgen Klopp has been tipped for a sensational return to Borussia Dortmund ahead of his imminent exit from Liverpool.
WHAT HAPPENED?
With Klopp stepping down as Liverpool manager at the end of the season, due to "running out of energy", questions have been raised over what the German will do after that, though he has vowed to take a year away from the game. Now, according to The Independent, rumours are circulating Klopp could return to former side Dortmund next year - the team he managed between 2008-2015.
WHAT THE RUMOURS SAY
Miguel Delaney of The Independent has said: "There is increasing talk around [Dortmund] about bringing former manager Jurgen Klopp back as head of football in 2025."
There is no suggestion he could be brought back as a head coach at this stage, though Delaney also revealed: "For some at Dortmund, this is the inevitable end point of a long period harking back to the 2010-13 glory era, with the club constantly rehiring familiar figures." He added this is not necessarily seen as a "good thing" as fairytale returns don't always work out.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Like at Liverpool, where Klopp won eight trophies including the Premier League and Champions League, the German is seen as a hero at Dortmund. He led BVB to two Bundesliga titles and reached a Champions League final, before losing to Bayern Munich at Wembley. If he did rejoin the club, this role would be less demanding than a managerial position - meaning current boss Edin Terzic could stay in charge and Klopp could have an easier ride, perhaps.
WHAT NEXT?
Transfer speculation aside, Liverpool are into the final five games of the Klopp era; starting with a home clash against Tottenham on Sunday in the Premier League, followed by an away trip to Aston Villa on May 13.
