Florian Wirtz has emerged as Bayern Munich's prime target for 2025, after extending his stay at Bayer Leverkusen for another season, reports Sky Sport Deutschland.
The 20-year-old midfielder has been a stand-out performer in Xabi Alonso's side's Bundesliga-winning campaign, with 17 goals and 19 assists across all competitions. His performances are attracting interest from Europe's elite, including Real Madrid, Manchester City and Liverpool.
However, Wirtz, who made the move to Leverkusen at the beginning of 2020 from the youth setup of FC Cologne, is expected to stay with the Bundesliga champions for another season.
The hierarchy at the Bavarian club is eagerly anticipating a move next summer, and their chances of securing the Germany international's signature are promising, with the player and his family seeing the club as a crucial step before potentially moving abroad in the future.
Bayern Munich will make Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz their main target for 2025.
