The Manchester United legend is in a relationship with Zara Charles, 36, with the couple expecting their first child together later this year. Giggs has two children - Libby, 19, and Zach, 17, from his marriage to Stacey Cooke, which ended in 2017.

Charles, a lingerie model, has a daughter from a previous marriage. The couple have been together since 2021 and they are said to have told close family and their exes about their impending new arrival.

A source told The Sun: "Ryan was nervous about what his kids would think but they’ve got to know Zara over the last few years and really like her. They’re happy because they know he’s happy.

“But they’ve joked that he might struggle with the early mornings and lack of sleep. Ryan and Zara are thrilled at the prospect of becoming parents again.

“They have a very solid, loving relationship and are building a long-term future together. Their life is very simple, they go for walks, they go for coffees and love keeping fit.”

Giggs' ex-wife Cooke has reportedly given her blessing to the relationship, with the trio reportedly spending Christmas 2022 together as a "blended family".

Charles was by Giggs' side last year as he was cleared of domestic violence allegations made by his ex-girlfriend Kate Greville. The former Wales boss was found not guilty of the allegations after prosecutors offered no evidence and withdrew the prosecution.

Greville told police and lawyers she did not want to go through the ordeal of a second trial after jurors failed to reach verdicts in the high-profile first trial in 2022, Manchester Crown Court heard.

Lawyers said there was no longer any realistic prospect of conviction and it was not in the public interest for Giggs to go on trial for a second time over allegations made by Ms Greville and her sister Emma regarding a drunken row at his home in Worsley, Greater Manchester in 2020.
