'Send him back to Chelsea' - Man Utd fans let rip as Mason Mount is sidelined by injury yet again and ruled out of FA Cup semi-final

Manchester United fans have been left frustrated after hearing that Mason Mount has been ruled out of action yet again due to injury.

WHAT HAPPENED?
United have been dealt a severe injury blow ahead of their crucial FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City as Mason Mount, Willy Kambwala and Sofyan Amrabat are all set to miss the clash. The club already have 10 players sidelined, including the likes of Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, and Scott McTominay.

WHAT THE FANS ARE SAYING
As Mount picked up yet another injury, Red Devils fans were left frustrated as they slammed the former Chelsea midfielder on social media.

Supporter @Muhamadibra412 is seriously unimpressed with Mount, posting on X: "No doubt. Mason Mount is the worst #7 at United."

Meanwhile, @unitedtunnel can't believe the latest news: "Mason Mount injured again. Has he played two full games this season? Can't believe he was given the 7 shirt."

And @TenHagEra vented his frustration over the club's decision to spend big on the midfielder last summer as he wrote: "Mount was available for free this summer. Instead we payed £55m for him to be available for a grand total of 674 minutes this season. I know the club couldn't of predicted this but it's just depressing."

Another fan, @utdloyal, felt Chelsea had definitely got the better of the deal: "Mason Mount injured again almost the 10th time this season. Thank you Chelsea for scamming us."

And furious United fan @UTDReecy had some strong words on the summer signing, posting on X: "Mount injured again, they need to send him back to Chelsea."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Since moving to Manchester from London in the summer of 2023, the 25-year-old has appeared in just 17 matches across all competitions and clocked only 673 minutes on the pitch. He suffered a calf injury back in November which kept him out of action until the end of March.

WHAT NEXT FOR MANCHESTER UNITED?
Erik ten Hag's biggest headache will be to select a partner for Harry Maguire in his backline as all other central defenders - Raphael Varane, Lisandra Martinez, Jonny Evans and Willy Kambwala are out injured. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Dutch manager is planning to field defensive midfielder Casemiro as a centre-back against Coventry on Sunday.
