Dele Alli's ex-girlfriend Ruby Mae has admitted she thought she was going to die when masked robbers broke into their home.

Ruby, 29, has opened up on the experience that also left the ex-England international shaken up. The model had been watching Netflix's Dead To Me, while Alli and pals were playing pool, when the thugs broke into the house.

She revealed the robbers had roughed up Alli, forcing him to hand over three watched including a Rolex, before making their way upstairs. Ruby told The Sun: "I thought I was going to be killed... It was like a movie. I feared all sorts of things were going to happen.

"I honestly didn’t know what was going to come next." Ruby added she had tried to protect the pair's poodle, Uno.

However, one of the attackers started to ask where everything was while they tried to grab bracelets and rings off of her wrist. She added: "I couldn’t get the jewellery off as I was panicking and holding the dog behind me.

"I wasn’t answering his requests and I was terrified they were going to hurt Uno. I didn’t know whether to tell them or not, and I didn’t even know where everything was. I wasn’t thinking straight."

Ruby revealed the attackers were then panicked after remaining in the house for too long, and the police arrived minutes later. However, no arrests have been made and those responsible remain at large.

Police later gave the couple an alarm to sound that would go straight through to the cops. Ruby added the alarms randomly activated weeks later, and the police arrived in minutes.

The raid took place in May 2020, four years after the pair had met in a London bar in 2016. Ali and Ruby went their separate ways in early 2021.
