Arsenal instead are prioritising Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig or Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting Lisbon.

Chelsea also are probing the terrain for other attackers - and Manchester United's competition thus appears to be diminishing.

It's recently been reported that between £30m and £40m would be required to sign the striker this summer.
