Three of Harry Kane's children were reportedly involved in a serious car crash
Three of Harry Kane's children were reportedly taken to hospital after they were involved in a 'serious car crash' on Monday afternoon. The incident was said to have taken place in Germany as Kane travelled to London with Bayern Munich ahead of their game against Arsenal.
According to Bild, the crash took place near Munich on Monday when a Renault collided with an oncoming Mercedes van as it turned onto a motorway slip road. Kane's children, Louis, Vivienne and Ivy, were all said to have been travelling in the van and were taken to hospital in an ambulance after suffering minor injuries.
The children are aged three, five and seven respectively while Kane's fourth child, eight-month-old Henry, was not reported to have been involved in the collision.
The accident reportedly caused the Renault to skid across the road before colliding with a Land Rover and coming to a halt. All eight passengers of the vehicles involved were said to have been treated at local hospitals for their injuries.
It is said the Renault was being driven by a 20-year-old woman, who was accompanied by a three-year-old child and two adults aged 43 and 48. Meanwhile, a 24-year-old woman was reportedly behind the wheel of the Mercedes van. Another woman aged 62, who was driving the Land Rover, was also taken to hospital for precautionary checks.
Kane had just landed in London by the time the crash unfolded before playing for Bayern in their Champions League quarter-final meeting with Arsenal. The report adds that he was informed of the accident shortly after touching down, but decided to stay and prepare for the match after learning that his children were safe.
The England captain was making his first club appearance in England since joining Bayern from Tottenham last summer. Bukayo Saka opened the scoring for Arsenal in the 12th minute of the match before Serge Gnabry hit back with a leveller for the visitors.
Kane scored Bayern's second of the night from the penalty spot after William Saliba had tripped Leroy Sane at the end of a blistering run. Arsenal went on to snatch a draw in the closing stages through Leandro Trossard, who fired home from inside the box after being teed up by Gabriel Jesus.
