'Ask me again in a year' - Jurgen Klopp makes shock admission about his future ahead of Liverpool exit

Jurgen Klopp has made a shock admission about his future as he prepares to leave Liverpool at the end of the current season.

WHAT HAPPENED?
In a stunning revelation back in January, Klopp announced that he would part ways with the Reds after nine years at the helm at the end of the current season. At the time of making the announcement, the German manager had revealed that he was running out of energy and did not want to do the same 'job again and again'.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The former Borussia Dortmund coach has once again been quizzed on his future after leaving Anfield and says he has no plans of taking up another managerial role as things stand.

WHAT JURGEN KLOPP SAID
Speaking to reporters, Klopp said, "In this moment, I don't plan a further career as a manager. Maybe ask me in a year, but not in this moment."

WHAT NEXT FOR LIVERPOOL?
The Merseyside club have already started looking for a candidate to replace their legendary coach ahead of the 2024/25 season. They are reportedly set to meet Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim soon to discuss a possible move to England.
