David De Gea told he could earn £24m a year from sexy content after leaving Man Utd

Discarded goalkeeper David de Gea has responded to reports suggesting he could rake it in with an adult subscription account.
The 33-year-old was released by Manchester United in 2023 and is approaching the first anniversary of his Old Trafford exit. Still yet to find another club, it's plausible the Spaniard is examining career options away from the field.
And De Gea has been told he could earn up to £2.1million per month if he were to go down a different route of content creation. An increasing number of sports stars past and present are using subscription sites as a mean to earn a buck - and often for huge sums.
That could well be the case for De Gea, who reacted to a report from La Razon estimating he has the most earnings potential of any footballer currently out of contract. In fact, the approximation - which comes out to more than £24m per year - would see De Gea earn more than he was on at the peak of his powers in the Premier League.
And it appeared as though he might be tempted as posted a picture of the report on his Instagram story. Alongside the screengrab was two crying-with-laughter emojis and the words: "I'm wasting my time."
The former Spain No. 1 was on an eye-watering £375,000 a week for the final four seasons of his 12-year career at United. However, a dip in standards left many with the impression he wasn't worthy of such a lofty expense.
Certain athletes have spun their sports careers into lucrative means of paying the bills outside their given fields. Boxer Ebanie Bridges, ex-UFC fighter Paige VanZant and former professional driver Renee Gracie are among the most well-known converts in the industry.
However, one-time Premier League champion and FA Cup-winner De Gea has the potential to dwarf those figures thanks to his profile. And it may not be long before he's back on the small screens - albeit not as many fans would have expected.
