Barcelona are prepared to offer midfielder Pedri a new long-term deal as they consider the Spain international to be the future of the Camp Nou side.
WHAT HAPPENED?
According to Mundo Desportivo, the Catalan giants are all set to approach the player's agent soon as they want to offer him a new long-term deal. Pedri's current contract with the club expires in 2026 but they see him as a future superstar at Camp Nou.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
The 21-year-old has had a disappointing outing in the current campaign, having been sidelined with multiple injuries for the majority of the season. He suffered a hamstring injury in August last year and is currently recovering from a muscular problem. However, despite his fitness concerns, the reigning La Liga champions are convinced about the Spain international's ability and thus want him to put pen to paper on a new deal.
