WHAT HAPPENED?
Since taking over United in the summer of 2022, things have not gone as smoothly as Red Devils fans might have hoped. After a rather good start to life with the club, having reached top three in the league and also the FA Cup final in his first campaign, the 2023-24 season has gone very poorly and Ten Hag has been linked with a potential sacking this summer.
WHAT TEN HAG SAID
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Man Utd boss said: "I don't have any doubts. I'm just focusing on my job, focusing on this process, in this project. I really love to be here, I'm enjoying it. For me it's a challenge."
He added: "It will not go always in the right way, it's not going always the results in the way we wanted but I'm sure we're in the right direction and we will get where we want to be."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
The Red Devils have been linked with a potential move for England boss Gareth Southgate with the 53-year-old's contract with the Three Lions set to expire after the Euro 2024 in Germany.
WHAT NEXT FOR TEN HAG?
The Dutchman will continue to focus on the rest of the season as the Red Devils can still win the FA Cup and can still reach the Champions League spots this season.
