- Goalkeeper unhappy with lack of game time

WHAT HAPPENED?
Since the Gunners signed David Raya on loan - with an option to buy - last summer, Aaron Ramsdale saw his role at the club reduced to being an understudy to the Spaniard. Ramsdale, who had an impressive outing under Mikel Arteta in the 2022/23 season, is reportedly unhappy with the lack of game time and is keen on making a move out of Emirates in the upcoming transfer window.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Now, the Daily Mail reports that Newcastle United have shown interest in signing the English goalkeeper in the summer. The Magpies currently have Martin Dubravka as their first-choice custodian while Nick Pope is expected to recover from his shoulder injury by the end of April.
DID YOU KNOW?
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is known to be an admirer of Ramsdale, having signed him from Sheffield United at AFC Bournemouth in 2017 and then managing him for a year.
WHAT NEXT FOR AARON RAMSDALE?
The 25-year-old will hope to make it to Arteta's starting lineup as the Gunners take on Luton Town in a Premier League clash on Wednesday.
