Neymar could be bound for American pastures if David Beckham has his way.
England and Manchester United legend Beckham has teased a move for the 32-year-old after already recruiting a batch of his former Barcelona team-mates. Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba are each already on the books in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but Neymar appears to be next on Beckham's wish list if his social media activity is any indication.
The Brazilian maestro is halfway through his first season with Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal, though he's played just five games for the club after tearing his ACL in October. Neymar has a contract in Riyadh that's due to expire in 2025 - with the option of a third year.
But Beckham, 48, will be doing his utmost to reunite Neymar with his ex-Camp Nou comrades after posing for a picture with the South American superstar. The icon uploaded a photo of him and wife Victoria alongside Neymar, captioned: "Welcome to Miami my friend (only for dinner)."
The crying-with-laughter emojis certainly suggested it was nothing more than a joke, not that one could tell according to the comments section. Fans ploughed in to voice their support for the transfer move, which could reunite the famous 'MSN' [Messi, Suarez and Neymar] trio on America's east coast.

"Ayyyyy let’s go MSN!!!!!! Is back at it," exclaimed one enthusiastic supporter. And another joked: "MSN will unite again. . . Beckham was [a] Barca fan the whole time..."
Social media users also replied with GIFs of Messi, Suarez and Neymar during their hey day in Catalonia. The former Barcelona trident was revered as one of the greatest attacking line-ups of all time at its peak, but with a combined age of 105, it's unlikely they'd pose quite the same threat today.
That being said, the prospect of seeing that forward assembly light up Major League Soccer is an exciting one all the same, even if just for one swansong season. Beckham made sure to highlight the tease was nothing business-related, but he's not the only one who would jump at the chance to get Neymar to the United States.
