Real Madrid told they 'don't need Kylian Mbappe' as move for PSG forward slammed for being 'just for the ego of Florentino Perez'

WHAT HAPPENED?
In February, the mercurial French star informed his clubmates and the coaching staff at Paris Saint-Germain that he would move out of the club at the end of the 2023/24 season to join Real Madrid. The Spanish giants reportedly approached the player in January before agreeing verbally on a deal.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Lord of Rings actor Mortensen, who is a lifelong fan of Los Blancos, has recently opened up about Mbappe's transfer to his favourite club where he slammed president Florentino Perez for signing the Frenchman, even though, they 'don't need him.'

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID
Speaking to La Provence, the actor said, "Real Madrid does not need Kylian Mbappé. It's just for the ego of president Florentino Perez. Me, I think that with Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo, we have what we need, it's not necessary. He should have come to Real two years ago. It's too late."

WHAT NEXT FOR KYLIAN MBAPPE?
The 25-year-old is currently in action for France against Germany in an international friendly clash and will next play against Chile on March 26.
