The German midfielder's contract at Allianz Arena is set to expire in 2025 and he has been heavily linked with a move away from the German club, with Premier League being named as his next destination.
Liverpool have made Kimmich their top target
As per a report in BILD, the Merseyside club are ready to do whatever it takes to sign the German international.
Aleksandar Pavlovic has emerged in Thomas Tuchel's midfield as a result of the 29-year-old's inability to consistently establish his value for Der Rekordmeister alongside Leon Goretzka.
Christian Falk – Head of Football at BILD – has reported:
"As is well known, Jurgen Klopp is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, but it doesn't change the plans that they want to, at least try to get Kimmich in Liverpool.
"So, they'll keep going and nothing has changed just because Klopp is moving, Liverpool are very much following Kimmich's career."
Joshua Kimmich to Liverpool?
Kimmich is available for just £25 million
Daily Star has reported that the Bayern Munich player will cost interested clubs around £25 million in the summer transfer window.
With the transfer fee being affordable to most Premier League clubs, it will come down to personal terms and the project that can impress the 29-year-old player.
Regardless of Jurgen Klopp's departure, the Reds have emerged as the front-runners to sign Kimmich this summer. The Premier League team are reportedly trying to bolster their midfield further and believe Kimmich would be a great option.
Kimmich would be a steal at around £25 million for someone who is regarded as one of the best football players of his age.
