BRAZIL football legend Romario is dating a woman 24 years younger than him following the end of his seven-month love affair with a pretty influencer 25 years his junior.

The randy 58-year-old dad-of-six set tongues wagging after being pictured at the weekend with a shapely brunette wearing a mini Brazil flag bikini at a Rio de Janeiro beach.

Overnight it emerged the mystery beauty is a 34-year-old event promoter called Maria Geusiane Santos.

Brazilian media are reporting the pair have been seeing each other for two months.

They are said to have met at a bar in Rio where stunning Maria is now based after leaving her native city of Ceara in north-east Brazil.

It is the first romance attributed to the womanising footballer-turned-politician since his relationship with influencer Marcelle Ciolin ended in August 2022.

Reports at the time pointed to the fashion graduate, 31 when they started dating, parting ways with the former Brazil international after she found out he had been cheating on her.

The couple had been expected to marry after they introduced each other to their families and Romario whisked her off to the Atlantic Ocean paradise of Fernando de Noronha 220 miles off Brazil’s north-east coast shortly into their seven-month affair.

Marcelle responded to the infidelity rumours by saying: “Romario and I broke up because our lives have different rhythms and projects.

“Therefore by mutual agreement we have decided to remain just friends.”

Romario, who turned 58 at the end of January and is set to celebrate his new woman’s 35th birthday next month, is said to be taking his latest romance one step at a time.

As well as days out at the beach, they have enjoyed time together at the famous Rio de Janeiro carnival.

Neither the footballer or the new woman in his life have officially confirmed their relationship status but are expected to do so in the coming weeks.

Romario’s last-known girlfriend before Marcelle Ciolin was a 22-year-old student called Ana Karoline Nazario.

He has six children from different relationships including a son born from an extra-matrimonial affair with an actress while he was still with his second wife Daniele Favato.

The striker, one of the most clinical finishers ever seen in football, recognised 19-year-old Raphael Faria as his son after DNA tests.

He was branded “sex-mad” after revealing in May 2018 he had recommended “lots of sex” to Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus ahead of that year's World Cup.

In January 2022 he claimed sex was always “f*****g good” for him and he would sleep with his wife right before matches.

Writing for the Players’ Tribune he said: “Sometimes on match day I would stay at home, away from the rest of the team. If I’d wake up horny, I’d have sex with my wife and then go to the game.

“On the pitch, it made me feel calmer and lighter.”

The Brazilian, full name Romario de Souza Faria, was named in the FIFA 100 list of the world’s greatest living players in 2004.

He is the fourth-highest goalscorer for the Brazil national team behind Pele, Neymar and Ronaldo.

He started his political career in 2010, when he was elected deputy for the Brazilian Socialist Party. He was then elected senator in 2014 before switching his allegiance to another left-wing party in 2017.

In December 2021 he and a grey-haired Ronaldinho showed they’ve lost none of the sublime skills that helped them become the best footballers of their generation as they enjoyed themselves at a Rio de Janeiro beach tournament.

The retired players wowed the crowds with their impressive display and showed their appreciation for each other with regular high fives and hugs despite being rivals.
