Man Utd, Bayern Munich following Benfica defender Silva

Manchester United have a serious desire to sign Benfica's Antonio Silva in the summer.
The Red Devils are very much in the market for a new center half, with Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans out of contract in the summer.
Per Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, United are seeking the 20-year-old Portuguese international, who has already played 81 times for Benfica.
He stated: "Yes, FC Bayern have António #Silva on their list. But for quite some time now… Bayern is impressed by his development!
"The 20 y/o centre-back from SL Benfica has a release clause of around €100m in the summer. However, it is believed that in the event of a transfer, he could cost only around €70-80m
"As of now, under the new bosses Eberl/Freund, there are no plans to sign such an expensive center-back. Much depends on what will happen with De Ligt and/or Upamecano.
"Many top clubs are monitoring Silva. ManUtd, also keen on him. Player to watch in the next months."
