Gary O'Neil and Wolves will talk about a new deal in the summer. Since taking over at Molineux on the eve of the season, when Julen Lopetugui left the team over financial difficulties he would have to deal with, O'Neil has done a fantastic job. A relegation struggle appeared to be certain, but O'Neil has advanced them to the FA Cup quarterfinals and into contention for a top-six Premier League finish. And according to sporting director Matt Hobbs, he is now qualified to talk about a new deal.

Talking to Sky Sports, Hobbs said: "That's naturally where this is going, he's done well enough to have that conversation. Part of the conversation will be the plan for the club and that's where you have to have the honest conversations about what it looks like going forward.

"That is an inevitable situation we find ourselves in this summer, for sure. But let's not talk about it at the moment, let's keep an eye on what we're trying to do. We want to finish the season well and have the FA Cup to look forward to. We have more to play for with the league and the squad drive that a lot."
