Transfer Talk: Liverpool's Van Dijk targeted by Saudi club

A club in the Saudi Pro League is preparing to make an offer for Liverpool captain and centre-back Virgil van Dijk, according to Ekrem Konur.
A proposal worth €50 million is said to be in the works for the 32-year-old, and is expected to be sent through when the transfer window opens this summer.
But despite Van Dijk being set to enter the final 12 months of his contract with Liverpool in June, the Reds are reportedly hoping to open negotiations to extend his stay at Anfield beyond 2025.
Van Dijk lifted his first trophy since becoming captain of the club on Sunday, after his goal was decisive as Liverpool defeated Chelsea 1-0 in extra time during the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
Clubs in Saudi Arabia have also previously been linked with his Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah, after Al-Ittihad saw their approach turned down last summer.
Clubs in the Saudi Pro League have been making big offers for Premier League players, and Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk is reportedly the latest to attract interest.
