Is Kylian Mbappe playing games again? PSG star 'denies' transfer agreement with Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe has reportedly denied that he has agreed to join Real Madrid from Paris Saint-Germain when quizzed at the French presidential palace.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Mbappe and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi were invited to the Elysee Palace for a dinner organised by French president Emmanuel Macron. Many other top sports figures were in attendance and Mbappe was asked about the prospect of him joining Madrid this summer, but RMC Sport reports he denied that the deal has been finalised.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The 25-year-old has informed PSG that he will leave the club in a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the season. Reports in Spain claim he has already agreed to join Madrid, while La Liga president Javier Tebas says there is a 99 per cent chance he will move to the Spanish capital.

DID YOU KNOW?
PSG appear to have accepted that their talisman, who has 32 goals from as many games to his name this season, will leave the French team in the coming months. RMC reports that the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, wished Mbappe “good luck” at the Elysee.

WHAT NEXT FOR MBAPPE?
Before he makes his summer transfer from the Parc des Princes, Mbappe will hope to lead PSG to European and domestic success this season. They take on Monaco in Ligue 1 on Friday and will then turn their attention to their Champions League tie against Real Sociedad, with the second leg taking place on March 5.
