One member of Mikel Arteta's line-up is inconsolable after defeats - to the point where fiancee Cat Harding has learnt to simply avoid him altogether for a day or so afterwards

It's just as well Arsenal have kept losing to a relative minimum this season, as far as Cat Harding's engagement is concerned.

The stylist and former The Voice contestant is due to wed Gunners midfielder Jorginho in 2025, with the playmaker having popped the question this past December. That was one of the big moments captured on upcoming Amazon Prime docuseries Married to the Game, which profiles the lives of certain partners in relationships with Premier League footballers.

Among the most difficult things for Cat is learning how to deal with (or not) her husband-to-be when his teams have lost. Jorginho, 32, was with Chelsea when he met Harding around 2020 but joined London rivals Arsenal in January 2023, and the stay has been a largely successful one so far.

"You can't plan anything in advance unless it is in June," she told the Daily Mail. "I am planning my wedding for next summer because J could possibly be in the Euros this year again so it will be next year.

"Even certain things like we have often had dinner planned with friends and if they lose a game, we have to cancel and I feel the worst, but there's no way you can go out with someone. . .after J has finished a game and they lost, there is no way I can talk to him for 24 hours. He is not in the mood."

Thankfully for her, Mikel Arteta's side haven't been doing too much of that this season. Arsenal have recorded just seven losses across all competitions and are well in the race for the Premier League title, ready to kick off their Champions League last-16 double-header against Porto next Wednesday (Feb. 21).

Perhaps key to her coping method is the fact Harding - who has one son with Jorginho - doesn't get too attached to the sport herself. Although she enjoys the matchday experience, she's not afraid to admit she "doesn't know anything" about football on the whole.

"I don't watch football other than when he is playing. I don't know any of the rules, I don't know the offside rule, I don't know anything. . .he tries to explain it to me," she added. "I honestly just learnt there are 11 players."
