Ian Maatsen will leave Chelsea in the summer

Ian Maatsen could be on his way out of Chelsea this summer after an impressive start to his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund since joining in January.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said: "At Borussia Dortmund, [in] his first five games [he's made] a fantastic impact, doing very, very well. The fans are super happy, the manager [Edin] Terzic is very happy and also people into the club. He provided two assists already, but the quality of the performances are very, very good.

"What they want to do at Borussia Dortmund is to wait until the end of the season and then decide what to do. It's a loan deal [with] no buy option included, but when Ian Maatsen signed a new contract at Chelsea, before joining Borussia Dortmund, there was a release clause [added] and it's going to be valid this summer."

Transfer news & rumours LIVE: Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid takes fresh twist as PSG forward’s circle ‘unconvinced’ by Los Blancos’ offer

Kylian Mbappe's expected summer transfer to Real Madrid could be in doubt after his entourage were left "unconvinced" by the Spanish club's offer.

A report from The Athletic suggests that even though Mbappe himself was leaning towards joining Real Madrid at the end of the season, "influential members of his entourage" have been underwhelmed by the proposal from the Bernabeu. Current club Paris Saint-Germain, meanwhile, have offered Mbappe the chance to stay on his current salary, either short or long-term.

Chelsea's spending shows no sign of stopping as Todd Boehly's Blues have been told how they can splash even more cash without breaching FFP rules.

Speaking to Simon Philips for his newsletter, Si Phillips Talks Chelsea, Jacobs said: "Chelsea could comfortably spend £200m this summer even before sales, if they chose to spend £300-350m, it could be offset with sales such as Maatsen (£35m), Hall (£28m clause expected to kick in), Broja (plan to sell £35m), Gallagher and Chalobah."

West Ham's dismal form is apparently delaying David Moyes' new contract, as the club's administration wants to see a response to Sunday's 6-0 loss to Arsenal.

Back in December, the Hammers were ready to offer a new contract to the 60-year-old, whose current agreement expires at the end of the season. Moyes has stated that a contract extension till June 2026 is nearing completion.

However, the Daily Mail reports that confirmation has been put on hold. West Ham have not won the Premier League since that victory at the Emirates Stadium, and there is now a recognition that they must address their issues first.
