Liverpool ready to offer 14 goal star new long-term contract, 25-year-old viewed as future of Merseyside club

Liverpool are set to offer Trent Alexander-Arnold a new long-term contract as his current deal is getting closer to its expiration date.

The right-back's current contract at Anfield ends in 2025 and he is one of several key stars whose deals expire in the next 18 months.

Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are two other names the Reds will want to hand new contracts to but with the departure of Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season, it is uncertain if some of the current squad will stay.

According to Football Insider, Alexander-Arnold is the player Liverpool's owners want to tie down the most as the defender is viewed as the future of the Merseyside club.

The right-back is without a doubt a special talent and has already racked up 14 goals and 57 assists across 218 appearances for Liverpool. Fans of the club will want him at Anfield for many years and this new contract will make sure he is.
