Xavi's exit might see Roberto leave Barcelona as well
Sergi Roberto's future at Barcelona remains uncertain as Xavi Hernández's departure looms at the end of the season. At 32, Roberto's contract expires in June, and negotiations for an extension are yet to materialize, despite Xavi's endorsement for renewal.
Xavi, while acknowledging Roberto's significance on and off the pitch, emphasized that the decision ultimately rests with the club and the player.
"I don't know," Xavi said in a news conference on Saturday when asked if Roberto could follow him out of the club. "I have given my recommendation to the club, which is to renew his deal.
"He is an important player in the dressing room, one of the captains, and is also delivering on the pitch. He has been important when available and always performed at a good level. That's my recommendation to club, but it also down to personal decisions from the players, like happened with [Sergio] Busquets and Jordi Alba."
Bellingham likely to be available for Leipzig despite injury scare
Jude Bellingham had to be subbed off with an ankle injury in Real Madrid's 4-0 win over Girona. However, Carlo Ancelotti remains optimistic about Bellingham's participation in the upcoming UCL clash against RB Leipzig.
Ancelotti said: "Hopefully Bellingham will play on Tuesday. But whenever he didn't play we used Brahim, Joselu... we were ok. I will never be more worried than today. We played without centre-backs (laughs)."

Ancelotti gives bizarre response to questions about Mbappe
Carlo Ancelotti responded to questions about Kylian Mbappé by highlighting the talent within Real Madrid's squad and asserting they already possess the world's best players.
He emphasized the quality of their current roster, ranking Vinícius Jr as the top player, followed by Jude Bellingham and Rodrygo. Ancelotti further mentioned Toni Kroos, Federico Valverde, and Eduardo Camavinga in his list of top performers.
"You keep asking me about a player who plays for another team," he said.
"We already have the best players in the world here. In order: Vini Jr first, Bellingham second, Rodrygo third. Then Kroos, Valverde, Camavinga…".
Mourinho wants to coach Messi!
Jose Mourinho expressed his admiration for Lionel Messi in a recent interview, highlighting his desire to have the opportunity to coach the legendary player.
Despite never having Messi on his team, Mourinho acknowledged Messi's unparalleled talent and innate abilities and mentioned that it would be an honour to coach the player.
During an interview with football influencer Ohm on YouTube, Mourinho was asked which player he would have loved to coach. The former Real Madrid manager responded: "An example is Messi, he doesn't need to be coached. Who can say 'I was Messi's coach.' It seems absurd to me, because he knows everything and was born with everything. Maybe he can teach you things. It would only be to say that I had the honour of having him in the team. Then there are a lot of players.
