NEYMAR has hit back at trolls calling him fat online.

The Brazilian is recovering from a serious knee injury suffered in October.

Neymar, 31, left Paris Saint-Germain for Al-Hilal last summer, but managed just five appearances for the Saudi side before being ruled out for the season.

As he recovers from his latest injury, the forward has been spotted out and about by fans.

After a recent party, Neymar was bullied by fans online, who accused him of putting on a lot of weight during his lay-off.

The former Barcelona star took to Instagram last night to post a series of clips from his latest gym session.

After his session, Neymar posted a selfie video hitting back at keyboard warriors.

He said: "Today's training session finished. Overweight okay, but fat?

"I don't think so. S*** it, haters."

Neymar laughed as he spoke, and even pulled up his T-shirt to reveal his tummy.

At the end of the clip he raised his middle finger to the camera in a pointed gesture.

Neymar is Brazil's all-time leading goalscorer and remains a key player for the Selecao.

His country are set to be in action in this summer's Copa America, taking place in the US.

Unfortunately Neymar will not be ready in time, with Brazil team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar having said last month: "There won’t be time, it’s too early, there’s no point skipping steps to recover sooner and taking unnecessary risks.

"We expect that he will be ready to return at the start of the 2024 season in Europe, which is in August. We need to be patient. Talking about a return before nine months is premature.

"It is very important to have the time it takes for the body to build that ligament. The expectation is that after this time, he will have recovered at a high level."
