PSG eye stunning swoop for Marcus Rashford after Man Utd star's Belfast blunder

Paris Saint Germain are once again showing their interest in Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford.

The England international is currently being reprimanded by the Red Devils, after he was caught partying in a nightclub in Belfast. Rashford, 26, was reportedly fined two-weeks wages for his ill-advised night out.

However, his recent indiscretion does not appear to have intimidated the Ligue 1 giants, who are long term admirers of the forward.

According to the i newspaper, Luis Enrique's side are rekindling their interest in the United forward. The French giants could be in the hunt for another left-sided forward, as Kylian Mbappe looks set to leave the club when his contract expires in the summer.

They tried to lure the United academy graduate to the French capital last summer, but he chose to sign a new lucrative contract at Old Trafford. A January transfer window move for Rashford is believed to be extremely unlikely, but they could jump-start their interest at the end of the season.

PSG have completely overhauled their squad in the last 12 months. After losing both Neymar and Lionel Messi, they attacked the summer transfer window by signing 15 players.

In the attacking front, they bought Goncalo Ramos, Ousmane Dembele, Bradley Barcola, Hugo Ekitike, Marco Asensio and Kang-in Lee. Nevertheless, Rashford would likely be considered as a replacement for Mbappe, such is their similar characteristics and position.

Despite his recent behaviour, United are still understood to be unwilling to part with the forward. Moreover, Rashford is also believed to be happy to remain at the club he has been with since he was a boy.

Rashford enjoyed the best season of his football career last year, when he walloped 30 goals and 11 assists in 56 appearances in all competitions. But he has had a shocking season so far this campaign, with just four goals and six assists in 26 outings, with United currently slumped in ninth in the table.
