Real Madrid will set a deadline for Kylian Mbappe deal
Real Madrid will look to cull any transfer saga involving Kylian Mbappe this winter, as they prepare an offer with a set deadline on when to respond. In one of the most prolonged stories of the 2022 summer window, Los Blancos looked set to sign the Paris Saint-Germain talisman only for him to snub their offer at the 11th hour in favour of an extended stay in the French capital. Mbappe signed a contract which was initially thought to be until 2025, before it was revealed that the last year of said deal was optional. As it stands, he is free to leave PSG for free in the summer of 2024, meaning he can negotiate with other clubs from January 1.

Brentford boss shuts down Toney transfer talks
Brentford manager Thomas Frank expressed his optimism about Ivan Toney's return from a betting ban and emphasised the desire to retain the striker amid transfer speculations.
"Is he raring to go? Oh yeah, definitely. To get Ivan back will be like signing an unbelievably good Premier League striker who has proven in the Premier League. We are looking forward to that," he said.
"Ivan is training very well on and off the pitch, looking forward to finally contributing to the team. I see at least the same determination and willpower to want to train well and be ready to play, maybe a tiny bit more because he wants to come back and be at his best.
"I really, really would like to keep him. As a coach, I'd love to have my best players with me all the time. From my perspective, I don't want to sell him. Because I think he's fantastic. Last year there were three players scoring more than 20 goals in the Premier League, he was one of them. I'm enjoying him every day and looking forward to finally using him. Ivan is a Brentford player. No bids. I want to keep him. And he's looking forward to playing for us."

However, in the summer, he joined Roma on a season-long loan with an obligation for a permanent signing contingent on meeting specific conditions. Pedro might leave Brighton in the summer, hints De Zerbi
Brighton head coach, Roberto De Zerbi, expressed concern about retaining Joao Pedro, the club’s £30 million record signing.
The 22-year-old Brazilian showcased his prowess by scoring two penalties in Brighton's 4-2 victory over Tottenham. Notably, he has a perfect record of converting all eight spot-kicks and has accumulated a total of 13 goals this campaign.
“He was the best player on the pitch," he said.
“He played another incredible game. I am really pleased with his improvement in mentality and attitude. In the defensive phase, he defended like a centre-back for 90 mins. He is becoming a top player. I hope in the next year to work with him, but it will be very tough.”
