A cheeky Manchester United supporter has asked her fans whether they think she could ‘tempt Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’ back.
Pressure is piling on Erik ten Hag’s job after back-to-back defeats against Bournemouth and Bayern Munich – the latter seeing United eliminated from European competitions – and while some fans still back the Dutchman, it seems he’s lost the support of one stunning United supporter.
A United fan on Twitter, known as BellaMUFC, posted a picture to her 18,000 followers of her puckering her lips and giving a steaming look down the camera while lifting up her retro Red Devils’ shirt, captioning the post: “Reckon I could tempt Ole Gunnar Solskjær out of retirement?”
Her fans in the comments section soon became giddy over her post, rather than the idea of Solskjaer returning, we assume, one comment read: “Keep tempting please...”, a second said: “Holy s*** you could get Sir Alex back my god!” A third added: “Tempt me instead”, while a fourth commented love heart eyes and said: “You are out of this world.”
Opinions are split amongst United fans regarding Ten Hag’s future, though it’s unlikely you’ll meet a fan who wants to see Solskjaer return as gaffer for another crack at the wheel. The ’99 Champions League hero left United in November 2021 after 149 games in charge as permanent manager following on from a promising spell as caretaker boss.

Like United managers before him, the same shades seen under Ten Hag now, the wheels came off with United losing four semi-finals during his tenure, and the Europa League final against Sevilla on penalties. Just months later, after a 4-1 defeat at Watford, he was sacked and replaced by Ralf Rangnick who took charge for the rest of the season as interim manager. The Norweigan is yet to return to management.
The Red Devils head to Anfield on Sunday to face Premier League table toppers Liverpool as Ten Hag stares down the barrel of a hat-trick of defeats at the same ground United were humiliated 7-0 at last season. Should United’s wretched season continue, incoming investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe could look to replace the Dutchman with former Chelsea boss Graham Potter.
