Barca to fund Bruno Guimaraes deal with Robert Lewandowski sale

According to FootballTransfers, Barcelona may sell Robert Lewandowski in order to sign Bruno Guimaraes in the summer. The Newcastle midfielder, who is reportedly incensed at the team's Champions League elimination, inked a five-year contract extension in October, according to sources. As previously disclosed, any club, including Premier League teams, is eligible to claim his release clause, which has a set value of £100 million.

Barcelona believes that selling the striker for Bayern Munich will free up funds to recruit other players, with the No. 6 spot being a top priority. Lewandowski is the team's highest-paid player. The Saudi Pro League is interested in the veteran, and a contract is expected to be finalised there in the summer.
