Sources: Tottenham pull plug on Chalobah move

Tottenham have cooled their interest in Chelsea star Trevoh Chalobah, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed last month (12 November) that the Lilywhites were interested in a January swoop for the defender following Micky van de Ven's devastating long-term hamstring injury.
Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino has given the green light for the Chalobah, 24, to leave in January if Chelsea's £40million asking price is met.
Chalobah was a target for Tottenham
Spurs identified the centre-back as a top target in the wake of van de Ven's injury but are now pursuing other centre-back targets.
Sources told Football Insider (8 December) that Spurs and Man United are in a race to sign Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi this winter, with the Eagles valuing the England international at £60million.
It is believed that German giants Bayern Munich are also keen on Chalobah with Football Insider reporting earlier this season (15 September) that they could revisit a move for him this January.
Chalobah is yet to feature for Chelsea this season due to injury but made 18 starts and 25 overall appearances in the last campaign under the management of current Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and Frank Lampard.
Spurs are thin at centre-back with van de Ven missing and Eric Dier's underwhelming performances forcing Ange Postecoglou to play the likes of Ben Davies and Emerson Royal out of position.
