In pursuit of their objective, the team's co-owner has brought in Messi, along with Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, former teammates instrumental in securing last season's Leagues Cup.

Despite this success, Inter Miami remains distant from its overarching goals. The addition of Luis Suarez aims to bolster the team's goal-scoring capabilities. However, it may not be the final signing, hinting at the possibility of more former Barcelona players joining.

Inter Miami's objectives include securing a spot in the MLS regular season playoffs. The team underwent managerial changes, with Tata Martino taking over from Javier Morales, who had served as an interim replacement for the dismissed Phil Neville.

Suarez, having concluded his stint with Gremio, is poised to sign a one-year contract with Inter Miami. The deal is imminent, pending Suarez's final game with Gremio.

The contract structure may place Suarez within the three Designated Player vacancies, catering to salaries above the $651,000 threshold set for 2023. Alternatively, other arrangements, such as Targeted Allocation Money, might be explored to stay within salary limits while providing Suarez with contractual incentives.
