Dele Alli's outlandish hairstyle leaves gobsmacked fans unable to believe their eyes

Dele Alli has left fans gobsmacked after an old hairstyle was shown in a short clip on Instagram.

Dele, 27, is currently on the books at Everton, but he's yet to feature this season due to a groin injury. And when he does make his return to Goodison Park, Everton fans might not recognise their former star.

The Englishman's barber has shared a clip on social media showing him dying Dele's hair pink. And football fans have been left shocked at the midfielder's look, though the caption suggests it's an old vide..

"How times change, these days we only see @dele on the barber's chair," one fan sighed. While a second replied: "Looks like candy floss!"

"Terrible look that," a third said. And another added: "Bro is ready for Barbie 2!"

It is approaching eight months since Dele last featured in a competitive game, and there has been no timeline placed on his return to the Everton matchday squad.

However, he hasn't been sitting on his hands during his time away from first-team football - and Sean Dyche revealed he has been spending his time on the training pitch wisely. Dyche said: "[The break] has allowed him the chance to focus on his football and he has been very involved in terms of absorbing.

"He can't get out on the grass with us yet but he is looking at it and he is absorbing what the input from myself and the staff has been. He is clear-minded now. He is very willing to share, give an opinion. It's a case of us having a coffee in the canteen.

"You'll say, 'Hey, Dele, how is it going? What are your thoughts?' He'll point out little things. 'I thought that, I thought this'. It's just a natural combination where we like players to share a view."
