Alisha Lehmann has been begged to join Real Madrid after posting a stunning set of mirror selfies.

The women’s football sensation hasn’t had the best week on the pitch, with her Switzerland side crashing to a 7-1 home defeat against world champions Spain in the Nations League. But that hasn’t stopped fans of the Spanish giants calling for Lehmann to be snapped up.

They made the plea in response to the 24-year-old’s latest set of gorgeous shots on Instagram. Lehmann took to the picture-sharing platform, where she has 16million followers, to thank her hairdresser and post selfies of her latest look.

Despite seeing their country trounce Lehmann’s national side, Real fans were in raptures, stating they would love to see her grace the club's iconic white kit. Others simply fawned over the snap, with one saying: “What a magical shots of you... beautifulllllllllllll”

Another admitted: “Would be driving and spot her walking and take my eyes off the road and crash my car.” A third fan overcome by the picture said: ”Definitely the most beautiful woman ever and above all the sweetest."

However, some fans were critical of Lehmann’s post for coming so soon after the battering by Spain. One snipped: “Like you just lose a game by 7-1 and the important thing the day after is your hair? Girl you need another vocation.” Another mused: “You lost 7-1 but still just posting hair and makeup pictures.”

Lehmann, the most followed women’s footballer in the world on social media, recently shed some light on her life off the pitch during an interview with the BBC. Among the questions put to the Women’s Super League ace was about the last note she had put into her phone – and it disclosed a previously little-known passion for rap music.

She explained: “My last note? Me and Shania [Hayles] – she played with me last season – we wrote a little rap song, but I can't show it. It's unreleased. You will hear it when it's released.”

After being persuaded to read out one line, she added: “I have a necklace right? It [says] ‘AL’. So it’s, ‘Strutting with my necklace on, its AL baby, that's my name’. Sick, isn't it?” Asked if she was going to release an album, she replied: “No obviously [not], I’m a footballer!”

Lehmann was then challenged to name her ‘best celebrity DM’. The 24-year-old laughed at the question before declining to give an answer.
