Sport claims Barcelona continue to suffer money problems despite implementing a cash-saving strategy over the past several summers.

The Catalans activated various ‘levers', including selling the naming rights of the Nou Camp to Spotify, to fund last season's title win.

This summer, they were only able to spend THREE million pounds after really feeling the crunch.

And it's now reckoned Barcelona will finally have to cash in on one of their prized assets to alleviate more pressure.

It's reckoned Gavi and Pedri are the two players attracting the most attention.

Barcelona would only have to sell one of them, with each man valued at £87million.

And there's already a battle brewing between United and Chelsea, with both sides eager to take advantage.

They aren't the only interesting European parties, with Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain also expressing interest.

Gavi, 19, would be the preferred option out of the two players, having made three more league appearances in one less season than injury-prone Pedri, 20.

The 2022 Golden Boy made his debut a year after his teammate but has already clocked up seven more caps for Spain too.

However, Barcelona view both players as integral to future title challenges.

And they will look at all other options first, with the idea of either player leaving considered "taboo."

But Barca have already indicated their willingness to move on top talent, with Ansu Fati loaned out to Brighton over the summer.

The Catalans apparently hope he does well in order to secure a mega-money transfer somewhere next year.

And that could end up being the necessary sale helping Barca continue to straggle the line between the red and the black.
