The prospect of a permanent deal has been raised, but Brighton will face competition should Barca intimate a willingness to sell.
Sport says Barcelona plans to sell Fati at the end of the season.
Now clubs from Saudi Arabia want Fati for next season. The SPL has already started laying the groundwork for a possible deal.
The Saudis have already had several informal talks with the 20-year-old's representatives. Some people in Fati's camp are open to such a move. But the player himself is skeptical, at least at the moment.
Fati has a contract with Barcelona until the summer of 2027.
