Arsenal chief Edu identifies Andre as January target

Arsenal chief Edu made a visit to Brazil last week to check on Fluminenese midfielder Andre.

Flu confirmed Edu's visit yesterday as the Brazilian chief met with officials and took in the club's facilities.

However, local journalist Thiago Ferreira is reporting Edu has been spotted watching Andre ahead of a potential move.

The Gunners will be in need of midfield cover in the New Year with Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elney committed to the Africa Cup of Nations.

Andre has also been interesting Liverpool this year.
