Newcastle shut down Barcelona option claims in Guimaraes deal

Talk of a special Barcelona clause in Bruno Guimaraes' new contract with Newcastle has been rubbished.
The Brazil midfielder penned a new deal with Newcastle to 2028 last week.
The agreement included a £100m buyout clause, while in Spain it's been claimed an option also allows Barcelona to sign Guimaraes for £55-60m.
However, Newcastle sources have rubbished the reports, says Chronicle Live.
Over the summer, it emerged that Barca failed with a cash-plus-player offer including Raphinha for Guimaraes.
