Diogo Jota's gorgeous WAG calls Liverpool loss 'rigged' and brands officials 'clowns'

Diogo Jota's wife Rute Cardoso has lashed out at Premier League officials following Liverpool's controversial defeat against Tottenham.

Jurgen Klopp's side were reduced to nine men following a straight red card for Curtis Jones and two yellows for Jota, as well as having a perfectly good Luis Diaz goal ruled out by the officials. Rute was not in the mood for forgiveness after the gane, as shown on social media.

Posting the PGMOL statement to her Instagram story after Joel Matip's last-gasp own goal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, she added the caption: "Rigged game."

Following up to that post, she added a clip of Jota's first yellow card in the same fixture, as Destiny Udogie went down under minimal or no contact. She added a clown emoji to the clip which had already been captioned: "This was given as a yellow card." By a fuming Liverpool fan page.

Jota and Rute, who had a child together back in 2021, moved to England back in 2017 after he joined Wolves from Atletico Madrid.

She regularly keeps fans updated on their private life on social media as well as sharing her support for her husband on the pitch. Jota has impressed since joining Liverpool for £41million, scoring 44 goals and winning both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.

He will now miss their trip to take on Brighton thanks to his red, with Klopp left fuming by the response of the PGMOL to the fixture.

He said of Jota's dismissal: "The two situations; the first I think is clear not a yellow. The second I didn't see actually back but it's not important. If the first is not a yellow then we still play with 10 men."

He added of the red for Curtis Jones: "Probably everybody here in the [press] room thinks it's a clear red card, I see that different just because I played football and most of you probably didn't."
