Liverpool and Man City eye Aguerd

Liverpool and Manchester City are reportedly both monitoring West Ham defender Nayef Aguerd ahead of next summer.

According to The Sun, the Reds are looking to strengthen their centre-back offering as Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk are both 32, while Joe Gomes, 26, has struggled for form, and Ibrahima Konate, 24, has been in and out of the team due to injuries.

The report adds that City are keeping tabs on the 27-year-old Hammers star but have a less pressing need to invest at the back.

From Fulham to Bayern?
