Liverpool were sensationally ready to usher out one of their 2022 big money summer signings.
The Reds were in the mood to swap centre forward Darwin Nunez for Joao Felix this summer.
Per Mundo Deportivo in Spain, Felix had a serious offer from Liverpool to come to the Anfield club permanently.
While the Reds could not pay a mega fee to Atletico Madrid, they did offer Nunez as a makeweight in the deal.
The source adds that Felix did not want to make the move, as he only had eyes for Barcelona.
While Nunez has been impressive for Liverpool this season, he may be concerned about his long term future at the club.
